Glow: emitting light. e.g. “The lightbulb glowed.”
Glitter: shine with a shimmering reflected light (like the substance glitter). e.g. “The grass glittered with morning dew.”
Gleam: shine brightly with reflected light, often used to describe a smooth object that has been cleaned well. e.g. “I polished the table until it gleamed.”
Shimmer: shine with a soft, wavering light. e.g. “The sea shimmered in the sunlight.”

They are all functionally synonyms (except glow, since it means emitting light rather than reflecting it), just with slightly different connotations.
